Mustang is a remote, semi-independent Tibetan kingdom within the territory of Nepal, and one of the last bastions of undistributed Tibetan culture in the world. Tiji festival is a three day annual ritual, centered on the Tiji myth which is also known as the chasing of the demons. This festival tells the story of a deity named Dorje Jono who combated against his devil father to save the kingdom of Mustang from devastation.
