Upper Mustang Trek (17 Days)

Upper Mustang trek consists of two distinct regions, where the language, culture and traditions are almost purely Tibetan. Mustang was once an important route for crossing the Himalaya between Tibet and Nepal. Trekking in Mustang region is a unique experience. Upper Mustang, with topography and culture resembling Tibet has many unique features and attractions. The trek passes through high peaks, passes, glaciers and alpine valleys. The thousands years of isolation has kept the culture, lifestyle and heritage remain unchanged for centuries and up to this date. The high desert region of the Tibetan influence, Kaligandaki from the Tibetan border south to Kagbeni is generally referred to as Upper Mustang. This mystical place is one of the best and unique places to visit as it empowers to offer a fresh and different environment to explore within.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu airport and evening welcome dinner.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley and preparation for the trek.
Day 03: Fly or drive to Pokhara.
Day 04: Fly to Jomsom and then trek to Kagbeni.
Day 05: Trek from Kagbeni to Chele.
Day 06: Trek from Chele to Gheling.
Day 07: Trek from Cheling to Tsarang.
Day 08: Tsarang to Lo Manthang.
Day 09: Explore day in Lo Manthang.
Day 10: Trek from Lo Manthang to Dhakmar.
Day 11: Trek from Dhakmar to Yamda.
Day 12: Trek from Yamda to Chhuksang.
Day 13: Trek from Chhuksang to Muktinath.
Day 14: Trek back to Jomsom.
Day 15: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara.
Day 16: Fly back to Kathmandu and evening farewell dinner.
Day 17: Departure to your destination.
